value of link...

Postby AndyBlack » Sat Sep 13, 2008 7:41 am

Hi,

Quick question. Say for example, you have links on a links page, or directory of some kind. Is it more beneficial from a link weight point of view, to have your link at the top, rather than say the middle?

Thanks

Andy

fewer links from a 3rd party site, the better, but must be all related. if it's your own site, put as many related links on your site as possible. placing links in the first paragraph always helps, but placing them next to related words while hyperlinking them to other related words, helps even more, referred to as link proximity: how close a link is to another related link and or related word / paragraph.

the value of a link depends on the relevancy of the content and it's usefulness. I will suggest you to use your commonsense for this purpose. ask your self will the content will be better for the visitor if you put your links in them? and are these links are relevant to your content. Just remember on thing that non relevant links can damage your site's ranking in search engine.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Although I do know about relelvent backlinks.. I just wanted confirmation whether a link towards the top of the content would be better than a link towards the middle of bottom.

Thanks anyway.

Andy :)
