Question regarding ezinearticles...

Postby AndyBlack on Sat Jul 12, 2008 11:00 am

Hi Loz,

Question for you. In a competitive niche, the no.1 website mainly has it's links from ezinearticles. In fact I think it's well over 100. From what I have seen, the majority of the articles link back to the main page, and only use a few variations with the anchor links.

The question is. For my gaming website, I already have an article submitted on ezine articles. Should I only submit one unique article per article directory? Or could I submit multiple unique articles to ezinearticles, providing each article deep links to a different page? Or would I benefit by submitting about 20 unque articles to ezinearticles, regardless of which pages I link to?

It just seems to me that the sheer volume of unique articles this company has submitted to ezinearticles, is one of the main reasons why they rank highly in Google.

What is your opinions and advice on this?

Thanks

Andy :D

Each link you get counts as a vote, whether it's from the same site or not, but the weight of the vote increases when they come from different people / sites.
Having a vote from the a family house hold of 5 people, is not going to be really taken into consideration to change a point of law, so to speak. But when the same vote (link pointing to a site) is made from 100's of house holds, that's when things are taken more into consideration, has more weight. Same theory goes here getting links.

So post 100 unique articles to ezine, my article directory, and other article directories, and you'll be ok. Just make sure they are unique articles.

Thanks Loz. I'll do just that.

On another note, i'm a little concerned, or disheartened, as my site had dropped from no.4 to page 2 for 'wii accessories', and has gone from no.4 to nowhere for 'gaing accessories'.

I'm assuming it must be some of the onpage changes I have made, although I don't think the last changes has been cached by Googleyet. Any ideas?

Also, do the onpage changes only apply once it states it's been cached by Google, with the date shown. Or does the changes once Google visits your page, and updates it's index?

Thanks.

Sure, the onpage changes only take affect once it's been cached, cos logically thinking, how else does it make it's decision to rank a page?

As to your other question, dunno mate without knowing exactly what you're doing. So more info you supply, better answer I can give. :)

All I have done is apply the nofollow tag to the additional 'image' links on my home page, and also applied it to my contact page etc. I have changed a kind of text heading which is near the top of my template, so that it is unique to each page, and the product that it contains. Apart from that, I have applied the title="keyword here" to a few onpage navigation links such as the Home page link etc.

*** Just created a good article for ezines, and the bloody session is expiring within a minute, in fact straight away. Must be a fault so I have sent them a message. Typical!

Thanks

Yeah, I hate it when it does that, I always make the habbit of copying before I submit to article directories manually.

erm, in regards to your keyword ranking, still not enough info, when I talk about info, I mean the stuff you're doing to rank, where you're getting links from, page subject lines, all the nitty gritty stuff, that's the only way I can offer suggestions after my analysis of your site is done.

Hey, do you want me to set you up with a free account at my article directory, which reminds me, I gotta do one for Duane too.

Yes please Loz. If you don't mind. I tried submitting to your social booking site but it wouldn't let me.

At present, I am utilising your linking strategy. For one of my sites http://www.goldfusion-electronics.co.uk I have recently set up two free blog accounts...

http://www.blogscene.co.uk/wiiaccessories/
http://wiiaccessoriesfornintendo.blogspot.com/

I have posted 2 or 3 times over the last few days to each of them. I have linked from each post to product pages within my site, as well as the route URL. I have also linked to one or two articles that I have on article directories. I have also linked one blog, to the other.

On top of that, I have used Fast Blog Finder, and posted comments on relevent blog posts, with a link pointing to one of my new blogs. I was thinking of doing this, rather than linking straight to a product page on my site so that it doesn't look spammy. Kind of linking from one blog to another, with related content or video. I am posted them from another pospective, so it doesn't just look like it's my blog.

I am also creating and submitting unique articles, (approx 500 - 600 wordslong) to the likes of ezines, go articles, and new article directories. I am linking from these to other approved articles, and to my website.

I am then submitting my newly setup blogs to social bookmarking sites, and once they have enough blog posts in them, I will submit them to various blog directories.

On top of this I have joined a few forums and made a few posts, which have a signature link. I will be going back to these every couple of weeks to make a few more posts, and join in with some debates and topics. I am also submitting to a few article directories every week or so. Just maybe 5 or 6 at a time.

Will I be on the right track if I keep doing this. Do you think I should see good results by Chrsitmas time (Chrsistmas trade), if I consistantly do the above?

Also, one final question. I already have about 12 or so articles on ezines under one account. Is it best to create new accounts on ezines when submitting unique articles? or can I just submit under the same account? (expert author status).

Thanks for all your help Loz! Much appreciated.

Andy :)

not sure what you mean mate, it works just fine, you know, you're very brief with things, "it wont let me" is not much for me to go on bud. "I dropped rankings, what can I do", don't help me much bud.

So dude, for time saving purposes, please provide as much info as possible, it'll help all in kind. ;) Cheers

K, I find wordpress blogs get more traffic, don't ask me why, plus they get indexed quicker too, from my experience.

that works, or you could also say, "There's also this that I found, does anyone have any feed back from these items, and can recommend anywhere that could be cheaper / deliver faster?" ;)

K, but this still doens't help me, I thought you wanted to find out why you dropped to page 2 or page 4 or what ever it was mate? What subject lines did you use? The same ones all the way through, and did the article contain power-associative words, words that only a technician would use, with one of those words hyper linked to a blog post or to one of your product pages? Did yo use website content wizard to create subjectlines for you and article post robot to post different ones out?

K, have you been to http://blogcarnival.com/bc/ ? worth checking out.

Good, find the most popular ones that get the most traffic, and pop by there regularly.

Sure, but, you're still limiting yourself to only a few places, when I do my submissions, I post to around 100 video sites, 300+ blog directories, 200+ social bookmarking sites, 2000+ article directories, 100+ forums, 100+ blogs, 4000+ yahoogroup lists, 1000+ msn group lists, 1000+ google group lists, by the time I'm finished, I tend to stay right at the top #1-3 of Google, Yahoo, MSN, Alta-vista and Ask.com

Takes about 6-9 weeks of submissions.
