Internal linking

Postby Arcangel » Sun Aug 03, 2008 5:41 am

I plan to put internal text links on my pages. ie a word 'great videos' as a text link points to a different web page on the same site. With 5 text links on each page and 50 pages, a nest of 250 links could be made. Now, what is the best software to make all these internal links?

I like the idea of dream weaver because after the time investment its something that all the big players and companies use. There are other good web editors such as namo but I think its best for time investment to use the most popular software programs, ie dreamweaver, photoshop, ms office suite.

It would be interesting to analyse the number and placement of internal text links. Maybe 5 max per page and none in the first sentance for example.

Note: you can download dreamweaver and other stuff on their site for a 30 day free trial. Not sure if you can reinstall it for an extra 30 days after the trial, but at least dreamweaver has come down in price over the years.

Hi ya

yeah, I think you can re-install it, but it requires to remove the registry files associated with dreamweaver install.

software to make internal links, you mean like, the same links like a navigation menu?
have you tried use a php include statement to call the same file?

or do you want anchor text links in the article body to be automatically linked up to associating pages? if so, that would require a CMS system that stores articles to a database, with a configuration that sniffs out keyword related articles and links them up to other related articles.

Yeah this is the stuff. I am sure I saw a video on it. Maybe in HyperVRE. I have bought a pile of software in the last few weeks. Full SEO training could make a 6 month course. But thats good really. If it was too easy, everyone would be doing it.

Well, in all honesty it is easy, it's just darn tiring / time consuming... hopefully those times will be over once my projects get coded for you guys to use. :)

My SEO vids should be all that you really need to concentrate on, but more importantly is concentrate on where the text is on the page and how close related words are to the main keyword. ;)
