7 Keywords

Postby icurt06 on Sun Feb 17, 2008 12:26 am

I have read in a previous post about 7 keywords being a magic number in PPC.

Hey Duane,

Great Question. Contrary to what you have heard, is wrong.

"The general rule of thumb is to have no more than 7 keywords in any one "ad group" within that campaign, this goes for Adwords, MSN Adcenter & Yahoo! Search Network.

What you also need to do is ensure that the ad campaign is the name of your keyword, and your ad groups are also the main keyword. When you apply the maximum of 7 keywords in that "ad group" make sure they are related."

How does this apply to Adsense Arbitrage?

Thanks for the response,
Curt

You can't do it with adwords Curt, and it's not very profitable with MSN or Yahoo for your adsense pages, I'd settle with other PPC networks.

My question is about using other PPC networks such as Looksmart etc. for Arbitrage.
I'm trying to determine the maximum number of keywords to use for a campaign.
I beginning to see that using only one keyword for a specific page is more effective than using many keywords.
By narrowing down the keywords I can find out exactly which keywords pay and those that do not.
Is using the same keyword for more than one page effective?

Curt :)

for looksmart and companies like it, it doesn't matter, they dont have a system in like msn, adwords or yahoo. companies like looksmart, 7search, abcsearch, etc prices are driven just like they are at goclick.
