That's a difficult question to answer Duane,
It comes down to split testing and you have to put yourself in the buyers shoes. What pages appeal to you? Create sites that way. And experiment.
Not every product is going to the same, and it depends on who the person is when they are looking for something and which search engine you use to buy traffic from or get free traffic from cos those who use Google are not like the ones who use MSN and Yahoo!, they're all different people.
But that main aspects of designing the site should be somewhat the same, a well thought out header and a slogan of some kind that lists benefits. Then bullet point some other benefits in the body copy, and a small description is one way to start for a one page deal.
Blogs, that's up to you, I prefer not to use blogs because I want to have FULL control of how the site will look in form of design. I think better looking designed sites have a better conversion rate over any site that looks plain with just text.
Review sites are good which will help the user to make their mind up, as time permits we'll move on to PPC and page designs with the heatmap hot spots.
