It's what I tell a lot of people to do when they create articles for their websites. Point your keywords to other related articles on your page, this generates a structure of documents, similar to wikipedia, well, the same really, that helps a user improve on their current knowledge, reading more information about the topic at hand, so what it does, the keyword tags you use that you know is related to the post in question, are not only used as tags, but when you create a second post, or a third, etc, if the tagged keywords you entered in your first post are found in the post for the 2nd and 3rd and so on, what it will do is automatically link up that keyword for you. Plus it will also add related posts underneath your post too.
which is all good, you're not only increasing user experience to get them to stay on your page longer, but you're also improving your overall link density while at the same time having more links pointing to other places on your page. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-tags/
